My name is Cristina, and I am the proud owner of myHAIRapy. Master stylist and colorist. Therapy not only for your hair, for your soul. A little history about me. I have always been very creative with hair. At a young age of 13, I knew I wanted to do hair. Unfortunately I dropped out of school in 10th grade, and then obtained my GED at 16. Even in the midst of difficult circumstances, I decided to pursue my career immediately by enrolling at Gene Juarez hair academy at 17. Coloring hair was my focus throughout those years. In 2014 I graduated from Evergreen Beauty School and took with me the essential techniques such as the Vidal Sassoon cutting technique, high end fading technique, and basic barbering technique. Upon graduation I managed a fast-paced cutting salon with multiple employees. I have trained many new stylists in this industry throughout the years to become confident in their own abilities and careers as cosmetologists. I continuously fixed hundreds upon hundreds of botched haircuts throughout my career and am relied upon as the "go to" stylists for those that have had embarrassing fades and haircuts from those other shops. ** During this pandemic of covid19, I decided to change the way I share my passion for hair and the space in which I work during these ever changing times. Moving into a 1 on 1 suite to give not only myself, but my clients the security of a 1 on 1 private studio, with no continuous traffic, interruptions or distractions during their service. It is important to me that each client is comfortable in my chair & confident with my abilities as a stylist. I am aware that personally finding the right stylist/barber can be like finding a needle in a haystack. Many nervous first time clients in my chair often turn into returning clients. Each person truly matters to me. And I hope you genuinely experience that in my chair. Specializing in men's shear cuts, fades, military fades, beard trims, camo colors and men's highlights is my expertise. Having done well over 30k in men's cuts, I am highly skilled in men's hair. Helping them achieve the confidence in their appearance that they desire . In addition to that, I am also very skilled and creative in women's cuts, blowouts, styles, fashion colors, colors, Foliage, balayage, classic highlights, and waxes. I am confident in my ability to please even the pickiest of clients, and help those who are unsure of what they desire. I have a very creative eye. And love to help souls find their style . A bit about my salon. Having been born in the mid 70s, I have a deep admiration for that generation. From the hot rod cars, vintage decor, to the fashion and style, uplifting energy, and over-all- simplicity of that generation, I have attempted to incorporate the vintage 70's into the salon with my own personal touch. With classic rock music playing in the background and the mid century decor that sets the tone, you will find eye appealing comfort and a nostalgic essence around you. Not only am I gifted with creativity in hair, but I am also a Empathic Intuitive Spiritual Guidance Stylist. This makes for an enriching hair experience at myHAIRapy.
